Peter Alexander has said 'No!' to the skinny minnie model aesthetic in his new 50’s inspired campaign, and yes to ex-Australia's Next Top Model winner Tahnee Atkinson! The curvaceous beauty recently was front and centre in the newest of the pyjama giant’s photoshoots, steering clear from the weighty models debate and simply saying that the shoot ‘allowed me to be myself, laughing, smiling, playing around.’ We hear you Tahnee!
The question of ‘too thin’ versus ‘too big’ is all too common in today’s fashion culture, sometimes taking the limelight away from the really important thing- the clothes! This time, Peter Alexander was determined to just celebrate a very gorgeous woman, stating that Tahnee "has a body that would turn any man's head and a face as innocent and beautiful as the classic '50s pin-up model". You don’t get compliments like that every day.
"Men love curves, and some women - especially in the fashion industry - tend to hate them, so when I designed my collection I was insistent we use a curvaceous woman," Peter told the Daily Telegraph. "Trying to find that in today's modelling industry is not easy. Thank God for Tahnee".
Tahnee is now following in the footsteps of Miranda Kerr, Sarah Stephens and Selita Ebanks, who have fronted previous Peter Alexander ranges, and we think it’s fair to say that these were not easy stiletto heels to fill! But from the pics we've seen so far we think Tahnee and her to-die-for curves would make even a potato sack look amazing... no offence to Peter Alexander and his gorgeous sleepwear of course!

Giselle is ‘virtually’...
We heart Reese Witherspoon’s pink...

It’s probably better because most women are not a size 0.
