This season, electric blue quickly rose to fame. Then yellow decided to shimmy itself in and cash in on the spotlight, followed closely behind by bright orange and bright green.

Not long after that all the colours decided, what the heck, let's breach all the fashion rules and join forces.

The result? An outlandish combination otherwise known as the infamous colour-blocking trend. But while all this was going on, pink decided she wanted to solely be the centre of attention and rose above all the colours vying to be number one.

Now, the shade pink has become so decidedly popular that style icons, bloggers and fashionistas worldwide have teamed pink with, well, pink - and it looks darn amazing!
