    If you've been watching the trends for spring/summer 2012 lately you may have been noticing a large movement forming towards all that's sporty and athletic. Yes, you heard right we're talking silky trackies, bright anoraks and racer back tanks. Victoria Beckham, DKNY and Kenzo have all integrated this trend into their collections (hey, if its good enough for Posh its good enough for me!) Take note this does not mean you can get away with chucking on your workout gear looking like you just hit the gym! Don't fret though, this trend allows you to be super comfy and still look hot, which when it comes to fashion is almost impossible!

    The trick to this trend is to start out small and subtly integrate pieces into your outfit such as an oversized sport watch or a dress with a sporty mesh. Channel your inner elegant and sophisticated woman to make sure you don't end up too masculine. For casual day wear try a bright coloured anorak with some bright chunky bangles and pair with a pencil skirt and plain top. For evening, go for a more monochrome palette like silky pants and a loose tailored top then pair with nude heels. If you're stumped on how to up the classy factor you can never go wrong with a fitted blazer.

    This look only works if you appear polished and sophisticated, and your old sweatpants definitely aren't going to accomplish that. Another definite Don't: Wearing sporty pieces from head to toe. Remember, baby steps!
