Easter is over for another year and chances are we all have enough chocolate to last us through to next Easter. If you have a bit of a chocolate hang over and can't possibly contemplate eating it all (this may be very rare), why not treat your skin - chocolate is much better for your skin than your waist line!
Ingredients:
- 2 bars of chocolate (dark has the most antioxidants so I would suggest using dark) or 1/2 cup of cocoa
- 2 tablespoons of heavy cream (sour cream will work as well)
- 3 tablespoons brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons oats
Method:
- Prepare a water bath. Put water into a small pot and warm it up. Place metal bowl in water and wait until the chocolate melts. (You can skip this step if you are using cocoa)
- Allow to cool, but don't let it go hard!
- Mix in the cream, sugar and oats
- Smooth onto your face in a circular motion and wait for it to work it's magic!

A great idea for those with too much easter chocolate to contemplate going through!! Just wondering monisme, what are the benefits of this face mask? Is it hydrating, brightening etc? I think this would be suitable for sensitive skin which is good news for me!
You can also add honey if you want it to moisturise, or even some fine sea salt to make it more exfoliating… i’d probably just end up putting most of it IN my face rather than ON it though
Chocolate is great for tired skin – it contains antioxidants and also elasticity protecting properties. It is good for hydrating the skin too and you can play around with the ingredients to make it more suitable for different skin
I hope that helps!
Sounds sooo yummy, and easy! Im going to try this!
Thanks lovely ladies! I think I’ll be adding some honey and giving this a go sometime soon, I’m defs in the need for some relaxation, yes even straight after Easter!
Who knew chocolate could be so amazingly incredible?! No more guilt from buying chocolate now.

think i might want to just eat it…
I can see myself buying chocolate with the INTENTION of making this mask…
I have it on my face right now and it seems to be working! However, I recommend not to eat it, its not very appetizing….
