Mid-way to fabulous: Joey Scandizzo says it’s all about mid-length hair this winter

Once upon a time, mid-way hair used to be the annoying awkward length we all passed through when trying to grow our locks out. Surprise, suprise - now mid-length hair is the new must-have ‘do’ with some of Hollywood’s hottest starlets opting to trim their long locks and meet fashion half way. Personally I have a secret hair crush on Olivia Palermo, Nicole Richie and Heidi Klum who are all embracing the mid length hairstyle and looking ultra-awesome and ultra chic in the process.

Naturally, the trend is making huge waves in Australia at the moment. I've seen a huge rush of clients coming into the salon asking for mid length hair. In particular, Lara Bingle’s hair has been the most popular style that we're asked for, with women of all ages wanting to try it. To put it bluntly (hair-pun), mid length really is a wearable and versatile trend that almost anyone can wear well and it's so easy to rock.

Don't be afraid to have some fun and try out different styling techniques. You could always go for a cut that's super straight and sleek, with cute loose curls or beachy waves or you could opt for blow waved to the max with uber amounts of olume for a big, bouncy and glamorous look. Finally, to mix things up a little you could try a side or full fringe like Heidi Klum's who also knows how to don the mid length cut with style.

So inlove with short hair right, now!

I have curly hair and I find that long hair is too hard to manage and I just put it back all the time to keep it out of the way, and short hair needs ALOT of attention but mid length allows me to wear it out with minimal styling!
