This year's New York Fashion Week was anything but boring. Eyes were fierce, hair was cray-cray and pouts were oh-so-perky punctuated by a mass of minimalist, bold and monochromatic garments. Sculptured tresses paired with futuristic makeup and modernised mani's took centre stage on the runways, followed closely by wine-stained lips and indigo peepers as well as braided crowns and larger-than-life curls. Did we mention there was glitter-a-plenty? Woot!
We've hand-picked a selection of our favourite catwalk looks; some quirky and some safe, with a few how-to's thrown in for good (fashionable) measure.
So nab yourself a spot in the front row and browse ahead to learn how to get runway ready in a snap. Enjoy the show.

Wishing I had hair thick enough to do a braid like this. Mine would be so thin and pathetic. Maybe I could use hair extensions.
the alexander wang two tone ponytail is bizarre, i always thought it was bad not to match your extensions to your hair colour! I know nothing
Ha! We still think it is pretty bad… Designers just like to make rules… then break them
I love the look of the girl with the thick fringe. The smokey eyes and nude lips are gorgeous!
The striking looks at the Derek Lam show have really got me excited, a metallic eyelid with an almost gothic lip works amazingly well together! Kristina… can we get a how-to for this look??
