How to cover a tattoo with makeup in 3 easy steps:
Are you suffering from tattoo-regret or trying to hide your ink for an upcoming event? Well, I have a solution for you! It's nothing as extreme as laser removal, nor will it require you to wear gloves, scarvess and/or turtle necks. I am suggesting you do what women do best — cover it up with makeup! That's right, with these 3 simple steps, you'll conceal that tat so well that you may even forget it was there in the first place.
- A heavy duty concealer, and I mean the really thick variety. Kat Von D has created a concealer specifically formulated to cover tattoos (what a woman). It's called Lock-It Tattoo concealer and garners seriously stellar results. You can also try using the Bobbi Brown Creamy Concealer which is just as appropriate!
STEP 1: Apply the concealer onto your ink and at least 2 cm around the entire shape.
Step 2: Using a makeup sponge, blot the concealer around the edges, ensuring that there are no harsh lines and that the concealer blends into the skin seamlessly.
Step 3: Set the concealer with a translucent powder. Use a large powder brush to sweep on the powder to lock everything into place and prevent the concealer from budging.
Ta-Da — your tat has magically disappeared! Told ya it was easy.
