Editor's picks: Father's Day gifts for the first man in your life
I've already mentioned how I tend to not buy my dad anything these days because it is such a waste of money — I may as well just buy him an empty box filled with rocks (for weight) because he would never get around to taking it out and finding out that it isn't the same as pictured on the box (unless flat screen TVs these days look an awful lot like a pile of rocks). With that said, I am just full of ideas for gifts that other dads would use and appreciate.
This collection of gifts spans various price points and has you covered no matter what your dad is into. There are games and sporting products for dads with hobbies or cufflinks for the classy dad. When I was a kid my dad used to get me to walk on his back all the time and while I think that sometimes I might have been less than helpful (while impersonating an elephant on his back for example), I think he definitely would have appreciated the train track T-shirt for a toy train back massage. Maybe I'll just keep that one in my back pocket for when one of us has small kids so that he can wear it around.
