Keep your phone fresh: 5 of the best safety cases for iPhones
The past ten years have seen the world of mobile phones take great leaps and bounds with their capabilities. They've gone from being simply a way to call people to our constant companions that hold our most precious memories and are even responsible for waking us up in the morning. But the one thing that makes me long for my old Nokia is how easy the damn things break. I couldn't even tell you how many people I know have smashed or cracked their phone screens (including myself) and my phone currently even has a dented volume button, which means I can't adjust the volume without going through settings (a minor annoyance, I know). They're so thin and slippery it's like they were designed to slip right through our fingertips and smash so we have to buy new ones (I'm on to you, Apple!).

We were recently sent one of Griffin Technology's Survivor Slim iPhone cases to try, and if you're serious about wanting to protect your phone, then it is just silly not to get a proper protective case. While we struggled to test the full extent of its protective powers (because, let's be honest, nobody wants to risk smashing their phone just to see how far you can drop it without damaging it) we did do a few experimental tumbles and after the initial heart attack subsided we realised that the phone was still in excellent condition. These cases aren't bulky or hard to handle like some of the older safety cases; they're slim and can easily fit in your pocket. This one is made with a combination of tough, resilient silicone with a protective polycarbonate shell, so it can provide you with effective shock and drop protection. These cases will definitely help to prolong the life of your phone if you've got butter fingers like myself.
