Win the year: 5 apps to help you bust those New Year Resolutions

I'm all for making big sweeping declarations at the stroke of midnight on New Year's Eve that I will promptly forget all about by the time the clock strikes 12.01. I mean, this isn't something I'm particularly proud of or happy about, it's just what happens every year. I go into the night with great plans for organisation, fitness, finally getting some money saved — and okay, maybe a little bit too much champagne — but without fail by the time December 31st rolls around the next year, I'm an organisational nightmare, completely unfit and somehow still broke.

Not this year. I know I say it every year, but 2015 is my year. This time I'm playing it smart by gradually working on my organisational issues by concentrating on one thing a month until it becomes habit. So for January I'm photographing all my receipts for tax purposes using the Xero app so I can send them straight on to my accountant — and will hopefully continue doing that every day for the rest of my life (I'm probably way more excited about that idea than I should be!). By the time December sneaks up on me this year, I'll definitely be ready for it! If you're looking for a bit of help in the resolutions keeping department, then these apps will help get you over the line.

Great apps. Buddhify is great for meditation as well, and Pocketbook is great for keeping you accountable for your finances.

30/30 is wonderful I really like it.
I also recommend Smiling Mind for meditation – especially for those who haven’t meditated before. :)
