There’s something you need to know about me. When it comes to a daily beauty regime I am the queen of the short-cut.

Or the not-at-all-cut.

Basically, I am super busy, and super lazy. And the result of these two very incompatible facts is that often it’s my skin that suffers (or makes me suffer, however you want to look at it).

And we’ve all been there, you know those nights (I call them weekdays) when you are just totally exhausted and all you want to do is fall fully-made-up-face first into your bed? Of course you do.

And washing your face (properly… ) is kind of a giant pain in the you-know-what.

You’ve got to tie your hair back, lather up, rinse (aka splash water wildly around your bathroom), fumble blindly to find a dry and clean towel, dry, then probably repeat it all again because there’s still a river of mascara running down your cheeks.

It’s just too-hard basket.

And then if you do go the good-enough route instead, and just use makeup wipes your skin still never really feels totally clean. So what’s the point! Right?

I know you know what I am talking about.

And if you do, then you are going to be majorly fan-girling all over the latest beauty break-through (and the lazy girls new BFF) that is Garnier’s Micellar Cleansing Water.

This is not another standard (mess creating) makeup remover. Oh no. This stuff is super high-tech and lazy-girl approved.

It combines the ease of use of a makeup wipe (in other words all you need to do is pour a teeny amount onto a cotton pad, and wipe it across your mug, and voila, you’re done, no scrubbing or rinsing required), with the makeup nixing power of your best cleanser (but minus the fuss), all coupled up with some pretty nerdy beauty technology (it contains these things called Micelles that actually attract makeup and dirt to them like a magnet.).

So in short you can go from Kardashian-esque to fresh-faced and ready for bed in no time at all (less than a minute if you’re super speedy like me), and even I can manage to stay awake long enough for that (most nights anyway!).

Check it out for yourself : Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water, $12.95 , priceline.com.au

And speaking of time and effort savers, here are a couple of other lazy-girl tips and tricks to help the time poor still look a million bucks.

The cleansing water feels lovely for me but doesn’t take the make-up off for me. I find that doing things around when I shower helps though.
