Schwarzkopf Hair Happiness Challenge 2: The longer the better

If you're stopping your hair care routine after the conditioner step then you're doing yourself – and your hair – a great disservice. Pretty much everything we do to our hair once we step out of the shower can cause damage — whether that's towel drying, rough brushing or using styling tools, your strands are screaming out for some extra care.

It's fairly ridiculous to think that we're going to stop doing all those things forever, which is why we need to go the extra mile for our hair to ensure that we're treating it right. That's really the only way we can truly eliminate bad hair days forever.

The second Hair Happiness challenge from Schwarzkopf is to add a leave in conditioner to your routine to help protect your hair throughout the day. My Hair Horoscope recommended that I try Schwarzkopf’s Ultimate Colour Express Repair Leave In Conditioner and so far I’m loving it.

While I had a significant portion of my hair chopped off shortly after commencing this challenge, the hair that is remaining is still fairly dry and damaged from the bleach and not caring for it properly after bleaching it (my bad!).

This particular leave in conditioner helps to protect my colour (which will prolong the life of my pastel shades) while also sealing and smoothing the hair follicle. My hair knots up at the thought of a comb regardless of the length, but this product means I can run a comb through it straight away without ripping my hair out or bringing tears to my eyes.

Schwarzkopf have created their Hair Happiness challenge to help eliminate bad hair days and give us all more selfie-worthy moments. If you missed the chance to register for their Hair Happiness challenges (and the possibility of winning their awesome prizes) then you can follow along with the challenges right here with me.

I’ve been using Schwarzkopf leave-in conditioner for years. With dyed blonde hair I would be mad not to.

Which Leave In Conditioner do you use? I’m always curious to see what other bottle blondes use to keep their hair healthy!
