5 Word-free ways to tell if your partner loves you

relationship

I’m not the best verbal communicator at the best of times, so I’m always keeping an eye out for the word-free ways to tell if your partner loves you, which makes me a bit of an expert in that area. Even though we all know how rough it can be if you’re single (I mean, we’ve all seen some of the creeps on Tinder), there’s this misconception that once we get into a good relationship all our problems will be over. But as anyone who has ever been in a long term relationship can tell you, they’re damn hard work.

Now I’m not saying that a relationship should be agony by any stretch of the word, but the whole essence of the thing is to work with another person to build a life together, so when one of you gets off track it can throw all your plans out of whack. Generally speaking you want to be happy in your relationship at least 80% of the time, anything less and you’re really selling yourself short. So if you’re currently loved up with someone who is a bit like me with their romantic gestures, it’s a good idea to keep in mind that there are other ways someone can show you they love you without uttering those three little words.

They’re always touching you

Yep, sometimes this might seem annoying (like when you’re reading a book or trying to concentrate on something) but wanting to be close to you is the most obvious way to tell that someone still loves you. Avoiding contact with each other is a sure sign that you’re tiring of the relationship.

When I'm not working on getting my first novel finished you'll find me buried under the great wall of credit card debt that I've collected over the years. I am a hoarder of shoes, jewellery, books and Disney DVDs and am physically incapable of restricting my chocolate intake.

  1. Yup, true.. love to have a little physical contact such as brushing his hair with my hand, or just sitting close to each other, touching shoulders, him putting his arm around me..

  2. I have heard many guys are not good listeners and I am very grateful that my man is exceptionally good at listening.. especially when I need to rant about something..
