I like to visit the shoe departmen in DJs or Myer. Just trying on a beautiful pair of heels really does make me feel better. I never buy them though!!

  • Tara says:

I always end up wandering around Target or Kmart for some reason, probably because I am usually having a bad day because I am broke. I find a $15 pair of heels, or some pretty girlie undies does the trick every time :)

  • Megsy says:

I always end up at ASOS. Then I black out and a about five days later a massive parcel of very random things arrives. Funny how that happens!

I like to buy crazy nail colours, then I go back to my desk and sneakily give my self a manicure. Seeing my bright nails while I type really cheers me up :)

    • Melanie says:

I too cheer up via my sometimes not so perfectly manicured nails! Nothing makes me smile more than some spotty nails or dark nails with one statement nail!

    • DDGD - Kate says:

      Love a statement nail :)

  • Karen says:

    Shoes, shoe, shoes, shoes!

Anything and everything is in the firing line when I am down… from a small bag of chocolate coated peanut brittle to a $600.00 Rachel Gilbert top (yes it has been done!)

  • Peta says:

A new underwear set usually cheers me up, and if that fails, new skincare range always helps! There is nothing like a face mask to make my day a little bit better. A rinse out hair colour in a bright colour (applied Friday night before going out) also helps if you have had a bad week.

Definitely some sunshine if it’s out to play. There’s nothing like a bit of sunshine to boost the endorphins.

  • Libby says:

oops i missed the ‘buy’ bit…nothing better than a freebie right?

  • Elly_cat says:

Pretty, good quality make-up. Recently it was gorgeous shimmery-but-natural eye-shadows from make-up store. The girl gave me a great make-over – always does wonders for the mood.

  • Dana says:

I’d buy chocolate first and then almost everything else that I see and fancy! A dress, shoes, makeup, you name it!

  • Elly says:

I love going to Djs and Myer during lunch for a browse…as soon as I walk in…I am no longer stress.

I love massages, even if it’s a hand and arm massage.

I love getting my nails done, only if the store doesn’t smell like varnish or polish.

    And eating muffins! Yum

On my “off-days”, there’s nothing like buying some bling from the local retail stores (think Sportsgirl, Witchery, Lovisa). I’m a suck when it comes to sparkly bangles, rings or statement necklaces! If it’s an extremely bad day I will splurge on bright and lacy undies … or a Nutella Calzone! (must be tried!!!)

    • Elly says:

oh I walked past Lovisa today and they have some really, really pretty jewellery in there!

  • A new bright nail polish makes me happy : )

Cowboy boots! No matter how bad my day has been I’m instantly cheered up by buying cowboy boots or just looking for a new pair. I have an extreme love for buying unique cowboy boots. Lingerie is also another item that I seem to buy when I’m having a bad day, something about all the pretty things to choose from makes everything seem alot better

Bubble bath. That way I can relax and wallow away all my troubles.

If I am having a bad day I will need a coffee and bacon & egg muffin for starters. Then I will need to do some online retail therapy. Equals instant cheer. Food, clothes, shoes, makeup and homewares are all great.

  • Wonderwoman says:

I really like to have a little bit of luxury when I need cheering up.
One of my friends recently bought me a birdsoap from mosey to brighten my day.
The simple act of washing my hands now makes me smile.

  • GraciRose says:

Whenever I feel down I always seem to buy myself something that makes me feel pretty. Last week I bought a gorgeous hand and nail cream from Allegra Rhodes. It smells delicious and the simple act of massaging it into my hands instantly relaxes me. I can also never go past a good book. It is the best form of escapism!

  • Andy7819 says:

Hand creams! Love the MOR, Crabtree Evelyn and L’Occitaine ones! I give myself a little mini pampering session!

Scented candles, tea and/or a raspberry macaron (Brunetti’s is the best!). There’s nothing nicer than feeling like a lady when you’re down :)

If i have a bad day or need an instant pick me up I go to Mag Nation. Im magazine obsessed and can easily spill $100 of the latest fashion mags or gossip rags! Then I get home make a ginger and honey tea and get lost in them for hours. Yes, I sound like a nanna but it’s a guilty pleasure :)

  • sharna green says:

    Candles,bath, tea and chocolate!!

  • Amelia Murden says:

Whenever I have a bad day, I hit up ebay for a new pair of shoes or some cool jewellery. As soon as I hit ‘buy this item’ the anticipation of a new item arriving in the mail box gives me the much needed boost (& yes, I know it takes ages for anything to arrive, but it still works).

  • Beautynutter says:

Chocolate and something pampering like a massage.
