As my makeup collection gets bigger, how do you neatly store your makeup?
My initial resolution was to use makeup bags, but this is proving to be a mess and I can't seem to find things quickly enough in the morning.
Any suggestions?

At the moment I have different products stored in bellaboxes and lust have it makeup bags according to category eg blushes, nail polish etc. Tis is a temporary measure until I get a makeup box.
I have all my everyday products in one make-up bag, then a box with all the other stuff organsied by compartments.
I love the idea of using magnetic boards to store everything, and they are really cheap and easy to make. Just get some photo frames (whatever size suits best, you can use multiple) and put a metal sheet in them (with a pic over the top if you wish). Glue or bluetac magnets to your makeup items and stick them up where you can see them. This worked wonderfully for me, but my little sis found it too convenient and I lost a lot of products in a very short space of time. I am back to a box until I am no longer living with her.
Sounds nice and a cute idea but I don’t have any space for that kind of thing, sadly!
I have a small crate for nail polishes (in case they spill, which never happens but if it did, then it could be easily cleaned up!); then make-up bags for cataegories eg lipsticks, other lip things, eyeliners, eyeshadows, face things (soundation, blush etc), tools, accessories (brush cleaner etc), daily use stuff, formal go-to bag…ok so I have too much make-up and it’s all pretty much a big mess shoved into waaayyy too many bags.
Um, ditto the original question!! HELP?
Oh look and I can’t spell either.
Can we add an ‘edit post’ functionality please DDGD?
Peta, I’ve YouTube videos of the magnetic board and I think it is a great idea for everyday products, but for rest of makeup collection, I am still scratching my head. Maybe it is time for me to get rid of the products that I no longer use.

I asked the same/similar question a little while ago, and seems from the above everyone seems to have same/similar issues – I wonder if anyone is truely able to organise makeup in a neat and tidy way! LOL!

Love some of the ideas, but I’ve been too busy of late and my makeup still looks like the image I posted but overflowing just a little more these days! BF is going to crack it majorly one day I’m sure! LOL!
Oh, and another idea I had and thought of was IKEA have some little storage cabinets for the bathroom – I thought this might be a way to get it all out of the way and possibly even use the magnetic board idea on the inside of the cupboard?!?! But as per above, have not got around to investigating any further and I’m not sure if it might come out a bit too far – must look into a thinner width cabinet!
