YES! I had thought about that 6 months ago but never asked on the forum. So glad you did! Wonder if more people would be interested.
If it was set up properly, with good guidelines to follow and some way of ensuring that no one is taken advantage of, it could be a brilliant addition to the site! Perhaps if it was decided that all liability lies with the members agreeing to swap items then there couldn’t be any negative connotations for DDGD.

I think it’s a great idea! I guess there would be a few terms & conditions that would need to be sorted out as well as the cost of postage but a great way to update your wardrobe without breaking budget!

It would pretty much be an Ebay but using goods to buy other goods in a sense. I could see it working.
Or even could trade DDGD dollars for an item, so that people could afford the SWAG they’re lusting over?
Hey guys, We have thought about it, and we feel the same, if we can work out how to make sure it’s safe, fair and easy to use (and also what the heck to do about shipping) then we will do it.
Just after we’ve got the pop up 100% perfect, updated the galleries, launched out iPhone and iPad app and a few other things

Well, I guess you could say that Shipping must be sent in an express bag (ie, same cost for 2 people to send a parcel to each other, given the items are under 3kgs, I work with Australia Post, so understand the system a bit). On top of that, for those who abuse the system, they could have their SWAG rights, as well as the right to listing swap items, removed. What do you think? x

I would love to! I have unworn shoes, vintage clothes, accessories all in good condition. This is very timely Zerotolove, as I was just looking at buying a ticket – $25 – for the clothing swap which is one of the events at next month’s LMFF. Maybe I will hang on to my stuff now and wait for DDG’s swap – yay!

DEFS! that really sounds like a wicked idea. I have SO many clothes, that I hoard, most I don’t even wear anymore. And don’t even get me started on shoes. I don’t want to sell them because most people online that I sell to ( on ebay etc etc) are cheapskates. I would much rather swap for another item and give my clothes to fashionistas who would actually appreciate the item.

Great idea. I’m always buying and selling stuff on ebay but am really getting over it, so would love another outlet to aquire ‘new’ pieces and get rid of my ‘old’ things.

YES! It would be great to have a swap shop of like-minded fashion people, rather than having to trawl through all the junk on other websites.
That would be great! I have many things that I’ve bought but are sitting with tags attached (they seemed like the perfect thing at the time!). I could make space in my wardrobe and fill it at the same time, which is possibly counterproductive but that’s never stopped me before.

Good for those who really close to a post office so posting isn’t a hassle.
It’s a great idea and a way to save a bit of money too, as I always end up giving my stuff away to the Op shop, a lot still in mint condition.

Sounds like a great idea, i have alot of clothes i don’t wear and i normally just pass them onto my sisters or friends but its getting hard now that i don’t really know anyone whose the same size as me
This sounds like a good idea. However, postage costs can be very expensive. You could post a piccie of something you are bored of and see what others have.
YES!!! Please do this!!! I have clothes that are still in style but once in a while you need a change, this saves so much money and can be so much fun browsing for something to swap with!! PLEASE please do this
